Daniel celebrated his 10th birthday this summer and instead of presents he asked his friends to bring a contribution to help pay for surgery to repair Nate's broken leg. Nate is a little stray poodle who was hit by a car and severely injured. Animal control picked him up and took him to Town Lake shelter where he would have been euthanized without the needed life saving surgery.

Daniel and his Mom presented Lil Paw's with a check to help with Nate's medical bills. Nate couldn't be there but he sent Daniel a special thank you with his picture. After Nate recovered he and Daniel met for lunch and some playtime at Central Market where they were kind enough to pose for a photo.

Daniel and his family have already adopted a rescue dog who is one very lucky little dog to have such a wonderful family.
